When your gear needs protecting from the bumps and buzz of the road but a full suspension rack is more than the job calls for, our foam shock-mounted rack cases hit the sweet spot. Inside each case, a glued-and-screwed European birch plywood rack sleeve is mounted on Zote Foams Plastazote LD29 — a high-performance closed-cell foam that absorbs shock and damps vibration before it reaches your equipment. It's serious protection for sensitive 19" gear, at a price that makes sense for everyday touring and transit.

Every foam mount rack in this collection is hand-built in our Market Harborough workshop from European birch plywood with a hardwearing hexaboard finish and 10mm panel construction. The inner sleeve carries 2mm double-leg rack strips, bolted front and rear and spaced to accept Penn side supports, so your kit racks square, sits secure and rides cushioned — by air, sea or road.

Foam isolation that works

The floating foam sleeve does two jobs at once: it holds the rack rigid for clean mounting, and it isolates the whole assembly from impact and high-frequency vibration. For amps, processors, comms, power and most rack-mount AV, that's all the protection you need — without the weight or cost of a fully suspended frame.

We build each height as its own product rather than burying you in variants. Choose the U height that matches your equipment:
