Console & Control Surface Flight Cases

Console & Control Surface Flight Cases

Engineered for the desk that runs the show

The console is the most expensive single asset in your audio inventory — and the one nobody can replace mid-tour. A loose desk is a broken desk. A damaged Yamaha DM7 is a cancelled rehearsal. A cracked DiGiCo Quantum is a six-figure phone call to your insurer.

Our console and control surface flight cases are hand-built around the specific desk going inside, with the engineering depth that touring sound demands and the build quality that makes them last decades, not seasons.

What the collection covers

This collection brings together the full range of control surface protection — from compact briefcase-style cases for stage boxes and DI rigs, through standard rack cases and shock-mounted racks for outboard processing, to heavy-duty three-piece touring cases for full-format consoles.

Whether you're protecting an Allen & Heath SQ-5 in transit, a Midas M32 in production, a Yamaha DM7 on tour, or a DiGiCo Quantum 852 across continents, the construction principles are the same: precision-engineered around the desk, built in Britain, designed for the working life of the equipment inside.

Built for the way crews actually work

Custom-fit foam tooling holds the desk in working geometry — pressure off the faders, screens and motorised elements, no movement in transit, no shock transferred through the chassis on impact.

Integrated dogbox compartments at the rear of touring cases keep looms, power supplies, network switches and patch panels secured and accessible — for clean FOH setups and faster load-ins.

Suspended shock-mount systems isolate sensitive control electronics from vibration, drops, and the cumulative stress of repeated freight handling.

Heavy-duty hardware — recessed butterfly latches, aircraft-grade aluminium extrusions, reinforced steel corner blocks, and 9mm hexa-laminate panel construction — engineered to take the punishment of professional touring without losing alignment or finish.

Trusted by the engineers who specify the desks

Our console cases are specified by touring sound engineers, broadcast operators, rental company technicians, and production managers across live music, corporate events, festivals, and broadcast. The customer brief is always the same: protect the desk, keep it accessible, make it last.

If your desk isn't listed in the collection — or if you need a custom configuration around a specific control surface, sidecar rig or rack arrangement — talk to our team. Most of what leaves our Market Harborough workshop is bespoke.

Engineered, hand-built and tested in Britain since 1961.

We build custom-fit console cases for every major touring desk — DiGiCo (SD and Quantum series), Yamaha (DM, CL/QL and Rivage), Midas (M32, PRO and HD96), Allen & Heath (SQ, Avantis and dLive), plus Avid VENUE / S6L, SSL Live and Soundcraft surfaces. Whether it's a compact fly-date case or a three-piece large-format touring road case, each one is foam-fit to the chassis so faders, encoders and touchscreens travel untouched.

Beyond the surface, we case the rest of your control package: shock-mounted stagebox and digital snake cases for racks like the DiGiCo SD-Rack, Yamaha Rio, and Allen & Heath DX/GX expanders, plus laptop and control-PC cases for your show files and offline editors. Suspended anti-vibration racks keep your I/O and networking safe over every load-in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you make a flight case for my specific console?

Yes — we build custom-fit cases for DiGiCo, Yamaha, Midas, Allen & Heath, Avid, SSL, Soundcraft and more. Tell us the make and model and we'll foam-fit a case to the exact chassis.

What is the "Dogbox" on a console case?

A built-in rear compartment that houses your looms, power supplies and network switches patched and hidden — so FOH stays clean and the desk packs down ready to roll.

Can you protect the faders and touchscreens?

Yes. High-density foam cradles the chassis while keeping pressure off the control surface, so faders, encoders and screens aren't loaded in transit.

Do you build cases for stageboxes and digital snakes?

Yes — shock-mounted rack cases for stageboxes and I/O racks such as the DiGiCo SD-Rack, Yamaha Rio and Allen & Heath DX/GX units.

Can you make a compact fly-date case for air travel?

Yes — lighter fly-date builds for compact surfaces, through to three-piece large-format road cases for stadium desks.

Can I add wheels and a lid table or work surface?

Yes — caster boards, fold-out work surfaces and lid storage can all be specified to suit your workflow.

How long does a bespoke console case take?

Lead times depend on spec and current workshop schedule — contact us for a current estimate.

Can you brand cases in our rental fleet livery?

Yes. We screen-print and finish cases in your branding so your hire stock is instantly identifiable.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — UK-built and export-ready for air and sea freight worldwide.
