Martin ELP 8-Way Par Can Flight Case with Clamps

Eight LED Par Cans. All the rigging hardware. One efficient touring unit.

The Nomad Martin ELP 8-Way Par Can Flight Case is built for the theatre lighting crews, broadcast lighting teams, corporate AV technicians, and rental houses moving Martin Professional's ELP LED ellipsoidal fixtures between venues — where eight fixtures, their clamps, and their cabling all need to travel together as one organised system rather than as scattered components.

Hand-built in our Market Harborough workshop, every case combines an eight-fixture CNC foam tooled interior with dedicated clamp storage for the rigging hardware that accompanies each ELP to site. Eight fixtures, eight clamps, one case — properly stored, properly protected, properly together.

Why fixture-and-clamp integration matters

Theatre and corporate AV crews lose more time during load-in to finding clamps than they do to actually hanging fixtures. The pattern is familiar: the fixtures arrive in their cases, the clamps live in a separate hardware trunk somewhere on the truck, and ten minutes are spent identifying which clamp goes with which fixture before any rigging can begin.

A generic 8-way fixture case protects eight ELPs in transit. It doesn't solve the operational problem of keeping the right clamps with the right fixtures. It doesn't give crews a single unit they can roll to the rigging position and start hanging from immediately.

This case is engineered around exactly that workflow.

Built around the Martin ELP

Every Nomad ELP 8-Way case is CNC-profiled to the exact dimensions of the fixture — including the LED engine, the yoke, and the connection panel at the rear. Dual-density Plastazote foam tooling cradles all eight fixtures from below and above, isolating each unit from impact loads during freight transit and absorbing the vibration that comes with festival and touring deployment.

The fixtures sit yoke-up in the foam tray, allowing crews to visually inspect each unit before pulling it for the show. Each fixture's yoke is supported separately from the body, ensuring the lens and LED assembly aren't carrying the fixture's weight during transit.

Dedicated clamp storage

A separate clamp compartment within the case houses the rigging clamps for all eight fixtures — sorted, protected, and immediately accessible the moment the case arrives at the rigging position. No more separate hardware trunks. No more matching clamps to fixtures during load-in. No more delays caused by missing or misplaced clamp hardware.

For theatre crews working to strict tech rehearsal schedules, corporate AV teams operating with limited setup windows, or rental house technicians turning around 200+ events a year — the integrated clamp storage is the small operational improvement that compounds into significant time savings across an entire touring season.

Engineered around how lighting crews actually work

The case is built on a reinforced 18mm wheelboard with heavy-duty 100mm braked castors, recessed butterfly latches on every closure, and 9mm hexa-laminate panel construction throughout. Aircraft-grade aluminium extrusions protect every edge. Reinforced steel corner blocks at every junction.

It stacks cleanly with other Nomad cases for truck-pack efficiency. It rolls smoothly across theatre floors, exhibition halls, broadcast studios, and corporate venue concrete alike. It survives the brutal physical reality of touring without protruding hardware to catch, snag, or damage adjacent equipment in the truck.

Specified across the sectors that depend on the Martin ELP

Our 8-Way Martin ELP Flight Cases are trusted by theatre lighting crews maintaining repertory fixture inventories, broadcast lighting teams kitting out studio installations, corporate AV technicians running multi-venue event roll-outs, and rental houses building Martin Professional fleet inventories for the European theatre and corporate event circuit.

The brief is always the same: protect the fixture, keep the clamps with the fixtures, survive the road, and arrive ready to rig.

If you're maintaining a fleet of Martin ELP fixtures and need cases specified properly across the inventory, talk to our team about volume builds. Most of what leaves our workshop is built to specification, and most of our rental house customers reorder year after year.
